Medium and High Voltage Substation Design

Medium and High Voltage Substation Design

PWM Automação e Segurança de Sistemas has an extensive history in the development of Medium and High Voltage Substation projects, as well as the communication and automation infrastructure necessary to provide reliable energy for your enterprise.

We prepared the basic and executive project using tools such as Dialog, Elétron and ArqNet that optimize productivity and quality by adopting the standards of the energy concessionaires, Eletronorte, Eletrosul and Chesf.

The products of our projects can be found throughout Brazil in several segments, such as:

o Energy;

o Mining;

the Cement;

or Cellulose;

the Steel industry;

o Metallurgy;

the Petrochemical;

o Food;

the Defense;

o Isolated Communities.

At PWM we support our customers on a wide variety of projects, from large projects with complex requirements to small projects that require cost-effective solutions. We use the latest technologies available to be efficient and accurate in our projects, keep up to date with the main industry standards, regulations and technical standards, allowing greater assertiveness in projects and providing clear communication with our customers.

PWM`s project teams work with clients to develop new projects and upgrade existing infrastructure. These projects include substations:

o Consumer primary substation connected to a voltage equal to or greater than 69 kV;

o Consumer primary substation connected at a voltage lower than 69 kV;

o Distribution substation connected to a voltage equal to or greater than 69 kV;

o 500 kV Collector Substation;

o Transformer substation with access to the National Interconnected System from 230 kV to 500 kV;

o Lifting substation with access to the National Interconnected System from 230 kV to 500 kV;

o Primary medium voltage cabins.

The PWM team can lead or assist your venture in the following types of project work:

o Transmission line input structure;

o Lightning rod structure;

o Structure of current and potential transformers for measurement and protection;

o General disconnecting structure: three-pole disconnecting switch;

o Structure of current and potential transformers for high voltage protection;

o Structure of high voltage circuit breakers;

o Transformation structure;

o Medium voltage sector;

the Protection, Control and Supervision System (SPCS);

the Panels and Cubicles Project;

the Electrical Grounding System Project;

o Project for the Protection System Against Atmospheric Discharges (SPDA);

o Auxiliary power system by direct current rectification (DC).

The typical products of a Substation project developed by PWM are the following:
