PWM has its own solution for commissioning substations, testing protection relays and energy meters, consisting of hardware and software. Six current sources (three-phase mode: up to 100 A / 1000 VA per channel) with a large dynamic range make the unit capable of testing even high-load electromechanical relays with very high power demands.

The equipment allows the execution of general routine tests on protection relays with automatic test programs for any type of relay, regardless of the manufacturer. The system makes it possible to test simple and complex relays, single or three-phase, electromechanical, static or numerical in permanent and dynamic regime; it also allowed testing current, voltage, frequency, active power, reactive power and apparent power meters and transducers, regardless of the manufacturer.

Our solution allows the application of transient tests with waveforms of current and voltage that contain variable percentages of harmonics, defined by the user and mapped via IEC 61850 protocol by reading the parameters of the protection functions recorded in the protection relays, or obtained from digital recorders of disturbances or simulation programs like PSCAD, ETAP, SKM PTW, EMTP/ATP and RTDS, in COMTRADE and PL4 format.

It registers all the behavior of the tested devices for later analysis, proceeds with the automatic evaluation of the reading of actuation times and issues reports in Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish and English.
